Misconceptions about the dental care
Wash your teeth after every meal! Rub firmly! The chewing gum replaces the toothbrush! The bad teeth are not your fault, but your genes! Is it all true?
The dentist for most of us is incredibly scary. We don’t like going to the dentist, we don’t like the smells there, the sounds, the colors, but mostly the lockjaw which we get after seeing the dentist‘s chair. Vainly calms, vainly tells what will happen, the dentist is extremely scary.
That’s why most of us tend to neglect our teeth’ checking, and instead of one time yearly the years are flying without open our mouth in front of the doctor. As long as our teeth not going to wrong that must attend on a series of treatment.
Reasoning instead of dentist
In the high surgery “avoidance” everybody finds the solution for which vows and which is capable to calm his conscience so much that without pain does not appear at the dentist. Obsessive selection of toothbrush, strong rubbing, rinsing, permanent chewing gum and their counterparts. Is that really effective the advertisements and the certainties created by us? This means that the dental profession is unnecessary? Not likely.
Shall be firmly rubbed
The fact that how you can clean your teeth from the food particles and from other contaminants depends on the direction of motion and the quality of the toothbrush, rather than how firmly can you rub your teeth. Moreover! The regular, strong rubbing wears the dental enamel and hurts the gum. If your dental enamel is hurt, nothing protects your tooth, and if you excruciating your gum regularly, it retracts and your dental necks remain unprotected.
It’s not my fault if my teeth are bad!
The fact that the people have what kind of teeth only depends on them. If your teeth are wrong, you can blame only yourself. Genetically there are no bad teeth, only weaker protective ability. If your ancestors have/had bad teeth, it does not means that your will be wrong, no more than you should more worry about them, protect them from the cavity.
The chewing gum replaces the tooth brushing
Even the advertisements claim that various chewing gums prevent the tooth deterioration, instead of tooth brushing the chewing gum is certainly not be used. It is true that it help the saliva formation, whereby the teeth get natural protective materials, but the daily tooth brushing can’t be replace with the minerals founded in the saliva.
The toothbrush must be change on a daily basis
Most of us change the toothbrush when its bristles are completely separated. Or the other extreme is when somebody buys a new one in every month. Most of the toothbrushes can be at a similar function about 2-3 months. If you are sick or you have herpes or you have other viral disease, after healing you have to look for a new toothbrush, because the chance of the back-infection is very high.
