Budapest
Budapest is the capital of Hungary, and it is the largest city of the country as well. The city has more than 1.7 million inhabitants. Budapest is globally a popular destination, the world’s 37th most visited city with 2 million 700 thousand tourists per year.
Budapest’s city history goes back to the antiquity. Its river, the Danube separates Buda from Pest, its branches close several islands. On the Danube there are more shipping opportunities as well. On the Danube there are seven road and two railway bridges: railway bridge of Újpest, Árpád bridge, Margaret bridge, Széchenyi chain bridge,15 km from the city center.

Danube panorama and Castle district
The UNESCO World Heritage Committee has listed as a World Heritage site on the 11th of December, 1987. The Buda Castle District is one of the most beautiful and romantic parts of the city of Budapest. The World Heritage parts are also some of the buildings belonging to the Technical University, the Gellért Bath, and the Gellért Hill. On the Pest embankment of the Danube, the listed items are the Parliament building, Roosevelt Square, the Academy of Sciences and the Gresham Palace.
- Andrássy Avenue and Heroes Square
Heroes' Square along with its surroundings and Andrássy Avenue have joined on the UNESCO World Heritage List in the year 2002.
The avenue is two and a half kilometers long and has three distinct parts. Heroes' Square, where Andrássy Avenue concludes, is the biggest and most impressive square of Budapest. In the middle stands the Millenium Monument, with Archangel Gabriel on top. The left side of there is bordered by the Museum of Fine Arts, on the right side is the Art Hall. Behind Heroes' Square, the City Park Lake is perfect for boating in the summer, and ice-skating in the wintertime.
