The restoration don’t include metal, every layers are tooth colored. This type of restoration, which perfectly imitates the layers and natural transparency of our own teeth; so these restorations are perfectly aesthetic and also very durable. The most perfect micron precision border seal you can achieve with the today’s most advanced CAD/CAM computer controlled system. Based on the prepared sample of the silicon impression of the tooth we digitalize it with the help of a three dimensional laser scanning machine and the computer controlled bur machines make the zirconium dioxide skeleton, without human touch, possibility of error is excluded. While by the pantograph controlled technology the zirconium dioxide skeleton is made by handmade.
The result is the perfect precision and the high level of the unique combination of aesthetics.
For who recommend we the zirconium oxide crown?
- the replacement of the old ceramo-metallic crown was necessary (the is grey, the metal strip is visible)
- root canal treated, discolored tooth
- edentulous area (the most aesthetic restoration is the crown)
- gingival inflammation, bad breath elimination
- in the case of implant restorations (recommended for zirconium implant to the zirconium structure)
The benefits of the zirconium oxide crown:
- it is aesthetic and ultra-precise, because the zirconium prosthesis is are made with the above mentioned so called CAD/CAD procedure
- realistic: a zirconium prosthesis is practically indistinguishable from the real teeth
- reliable, long lasting: in the past 10 years there was made millions of zirconium crowns and fixed partial dentures around the world, to the biggest satisfaction of the patients. A lot of clinical studies have shown that the zirconium restorations are very reliable; they serve for many years and decades.
- it is biocompatible: the zirconium oxide does not contain any metal, so the risk of the allergy is practically excluded. Meets to the stringent requirements related to the implantology, so the gingival is perfectly healthy around the crowns or the fixed partial dentures.
- due to the shoulder preparation the gingival remains healthy pink, it won’t be inflamed, won’t be turn blue
The preparation is made with CAD-CAM computer controlled procedure:
On the left picture titanium skeleton, while on the right one zirconium skeleton can be seen, on which will be the ceramic veneer, then fixed it in implants. (from our own patient material)
CAD-CAM technology made fixed partial dentures (Zirconium, Titanium, Gold skeleton crowns and INLAYS)
Our CAD-CAM computer controlled bur machine, which squares off the zircon skeleton and the inlays:
What kind of metal fee alternatives are available?
Instead of amalgam filling, aesthetic fillings (inlay) preparation. Aesthetic metal free restorations instead of ceramo-metallic, crown, fixed partial denture.
The material can be:
BelleGlas: plastic, reinforced with glass fiber. It can be use for making inlays, for lateral crowns and traditional short fixed partial dentures and for preparing inlay anchoring one element replacement short fixed partial dentures. Its disadvantage is the low tensile strength, therefore it is sustainable only for making short restorations; and it can’t polish as smooth as the porcelain, therefore it is more plaque retentive. But its positive feature is that not so much rigid as the porcelain.
Gradia: plastic, reinforced with ceramic. Its indication area is the same as the restorations made from BelleGlas material. Its features are the same as the BelleGlas. Traditional ceramic: recommended mainly for preparing inlays and solo crowns; as well as veneers. Now this technology is not really used.
Pressed ceramic: (on the above picture you can see such press ceramic inlays after the amalgam replacement)
- Noritake: from this material first a hard skeleton prepared and burn it into the ceramic. Can be made from it inlay and crown.
- Cergo Kiss ( Degudent): its advantage is that much more creative tooth colors can be create because of the richness of the color scale, and therefore its transparence can be form much more diversified. Can be made from it inlay and crown. The ceramic itself is not capable to prepare fixed partial denture out of it, in this case other material is necessary, for example metal alloy, gold, zirconium oxide, which constitutes the skeleton of the fixed partial denture and the ceramic form build on this.
- Gold-burned ceramic: all such work can be prepare from it, which can be make from the traditional ceramo-metallic, short and long fixed partial dentures. It is non-allergic; due to the color of the gold the tone of the ceramic is much more natural. The gold is much more workable, ductile, therefore its peripheral parts can be easier form, accurate restorations made from it.
CAD-CAM technology made fixed partial dentures (ZIRCONIUM, TITANIUM, GOLD skeleton crowns and INLAYS)
The plaster model obtained from the impression pouring which was took from the prepared tooth surface which they scan with the help of computer. With the help of a special computer program the so called skeleton part of the restoration completed, which the computer controlled system square off from a zirconium dioxide or a titanium block. To the finished skeleton puts on the ceramic supporting metal substructure. The procedure is extremely accurate. The closure of the peripheral parts rivals the most precise gold works.
- The zirconium dioxide skeleton is actually a metal free skeleton, its material is similar to the ceramic, but it is much stronger and less fragile. Its bending strength is much greater than the traditional complete porcelain veneer crown. Due to the white, but colorable skeleton the contact of the crowns with the peripheral part of the gingival becoming free don’t cause aesthetic complaint over time (which is normal), it provides longer comfort for the patients. One of its highlighted advantages that don’t irritating the mucous membrane contacting with the crown peripheral. We recommend it: for discolored, root canal treated tooth, for veiled teeth fitted with metallic pin, for replacement of old restorations (because of the above mentioned metal border). In addition we recommend to the front area, due to aesthetic reasons, but thanks to the continuous technical development to the lateral (chewing) area, for replacement of 2-3 edentulous area.
- The benefit of the titanium skeleton restorations are that it is non-allergic and since the implants’ material is based on titanium, therefore it is recommend to build up these (crowns, fixed partial dentures).
- Galvanic gold-fired ceramic: during the process they coating the stub with a highly accurate thin gold, so it results a good border closing. They put on this the ceramic supporting metal substructure. The peripheral part of the crowns stretches thin golden stripe, which may worsen the aesthetic appearance. Can be make from it inlay, crown, short fixed partial dentures.
